History
First held at the The Hide & Seek on Sunday, June 12, 1977. The Lambda Awards were an annual award in which gay businesses across Colorado would select winners from various categories.
That year, the The Hide & Seek won best bar in Southern Colorado, with Joe Brady and Tom Gehling winning the award for best bar owners. Bubbles won Best Non-Professional Stage Performer. The Best Event of the Year went to the Hide & Seek's Mr. Jockey Shorts Contest.[1]
