Sexy Train Things
Sexy Train Things is a book of poetry by Colorado Springs-born Mackenzie Beninati. The poems within explore trans identity and the poet's experience of working as a "cog dog," a railway maintenance worker, for the Cog Railroad on Pikes Peak.
The book cover was designed and collaged by artist and curator, Riot Addison.
The book is no longer available for sale, but can be read on The Internet Archive.
Book Release
Mackenzie released the book at a Keep Colorado Springs Queer open mic at The Quaill Club on January 17, 2018.

Reception
Sexy Train Things, Boyer’s first book, is full of poems that reflect the realities of the trans experience in the Pikes Peak region, but avoids the pitfalls of so many solipsistic trans narratives whose entire focus is on the author’s gender identity.
